On Saturday, I got to stay home all day. ALL DAY. I didn’t have to go anywhere at all, and neither did my sons. I did have some work-related work to do, which is the norm lately, but it was all stuff that could at least be done at home. The weekend as a whole was pretty darn yummy, thanks in part to the following activities.
That’s a Mitered Cross square for my handspun Mitered Cross Blanket. According to Ravelry, I started this project two-and-a-half years ago. I consider this a long-term pleasure project – a little palate-cleanser between other projects. The squares are so delightful, and they work up so quickly. Before long, I had this:

Mmmm. I am in love with this squishy square. It almost makes me want to put aside all my other projects and finish this blanket in time for winter. But instead, it can join the other Mitered Cross in the closet for awhile.
It felt great to get my feet back on the wheel!
I just did a couple of ounces, to finish up a project I spun for last spring. Sweet, sweet Hello Yarn:
Oh, that shot of blue. It slays me.
It was a good weekend, y’all! I hope yours was, too.
