The weekend passed for me in a blur, mostly of work, but I did manage to spend a little time on a few crafty pursuits.
1 – I made a little progress on my end of a barter (more details soon):
2 – I spent a lot of time with some of my favorite knitting reference books:
3 – I blocked a couple of knits:
(And one of them is still damp, three days later! I was desperate to get it photographed and actually did a full photoshoot wearing one of them while it was still wet. At the time, I thought it was working out just fine, but when I saw the pics I realized that I will actually have to reshoot. Lesson=learned.)
4 – I spent some time with colored pencils and graph paper trying to work out a colorwork design. (new territory for me)
5 – I finally cast on for a sweater for one of my kiddos!
And in non-craft-related news, I rigged up a standing desk for myself (trying to address some piriformis pain) and discovered a bonus. Kitty can no longer body-block me from my keyboard!
I’m thrilled. She’s a little unhappy.
What did you work on this weekend?
Fingerless mitts and going to watch our granddaughter do a demo ride in a competition at UGA. Her team defeated Fresno State 16-3…..go Dawgs!
I nursed a baby and blocked a shawl. Go me! I love the picture of the cat pondering the desk. somehow, I feel it’s only a matter of time until she works out a way to body block you….
