Tour de Fleece :: Day 3

Tour de Fleece :: Day 3, originally uploaded by earthchick.

On Saturday, I drove 420 miles. On Sunday, I drove 400 miles. This morning, I got up at 5:00am and drove 100 miles more and then spent the first half of the day in a theology class. I’m a tired pup! But what better way to unwind than to spin?

I don’t have a ton of time right now, but it only takes a few minutes to move my brain into another zone – where the body takes over and the mind kind of uncurls and lets go. The feet just treadle, treadle, treadle, the hands just draw, let go, draw, let go, and the mind just hums with a blissful sort of happy. Oh, spinning, I love you so.

Oh, Cherry Matchless, I adore you.

  1. Spinning got me from Nova Scotia to NYC today as my husband drove us through some torrential rains, so I know exactly the power of spinning to calm.

Hope you find some time to relax a bit more with that Cherry Matchless in the next few days.

  2. Isn’t spinning wonderful? You captured exactly what spinning can be with ” the mind just hums with a blissful sort of happy”. Just thinking about it makes me happy. πŸ™‚
