In early December, this tute for making your own silhouette pictures was floating around Pinterest (if you would like to fall down the rabbit hole that is Pinterest, but need an invitation, let me know – I think I still have five).
What a great project! Very easy to make, and such a personal gift. My boys were happy to pose for these pictures, and excited to watch as I cut them out. I made these for my parents for Christmas, and they were a huge hit. Honestly, this is one of my favorite things I’ve ever made. Soon, I hope to make a pair for myself.
The boys were very proud of them. I was too!
Thank you for all your nice comments on my blogiversary post. There is still time to enter the giveaway (deadline is 6:00pm EST tomorrow). If you want to enter, make sure to leave a comment on that post .
They are adorable!
I would love an invite (not that I need to be doing more things online but it looks charming…).
Thanks!
I would love one too! I’ve looked on Etsy for someone to do silhouettes (someday I want one of each of us above one of our mantels!), and they are SO expensive! I’d love to be able to do it myself, thanks for the links. Yours look fantastic!
oh my gosh that picture of them holding their silhouettes is adorable!!
Brilliant idea. I love it and will put it away in a corner of my mind where it will no doubt get lost before I can follow through…but still.
OMG I love them. Must make. I don’t know how I missed them on Pinterest!
Oh, the grandparents must have been thrilled!
So sweet! I definitely want to do this with my little one. If you still have one of your five invites left, I’d love one! Thank you!
Absolutely awesome…and so perfectly framed!
Good keepsakes, Mom!
they turned out fabulous!
Love the silhouettes! I totally need to make some of those for my children.
Would love an invite! We had similar silhouettes in our home growing up – so nostalgic for me! I must do this at once 🙂
