Last summer, Carrie, of funky carolina , asked for test knitters willing to try out some of her new yarn bases. I jumped at the opportunity, and she sent me the most gorgeous merino/silk aran weight yarn hand-dyed in a luscious sort of pine green. It’s got great depth, and the silk really makes it shine. I LOVE this color. I loved it in the skein, but I loved it even more knit up.
Carrie suggested that I knit a Textured Shawl with it, and the pattern was a great match for the yarn. The yarn gave this shawl just the perfect drape. And it was such a delight to work with this yummy, soft, strong, silky yarn. As many of you already know, this pattern is awesome – such fun, and so fast.

verdict: my only sadness is that I didn’t get to keep it. I loved it SO much!

Oooh, it’s *beautiful*!! I wouldn’t want to send it away, either. 🙂
Ooh, that is a *gorgeous* color! And it does look great in that design. 🙂
Yeah, I was so in love with that color!! I hope she makes it available in her shop, because I want to knit this same thing for myself in the exact same color!!
It is a beautiful pattern and yarn, I would love to keep it myself too. And the color, just great.
Great color & great pattern added it to my Ravelry Q. Like I need more stuff listed in there lol.
Very nice! Looks good on you, will you knit another?
