Without Further Ado

Sorry for the delay in announcing winners. The day got derailed this afternoon and evening through a series of unforeseen events. I’m glad I took the extra time to make sure I had all the entries accurate – there were at least three of you who had linked to the contest – and therefore deserved an extra entry into the raffle – whose extra entries I had not recorded. I checked and double-checked the entries for accuracy. There were 124 people who entered, with 654 entries. Thank goodness for random number generators!

The winners are:
Melinda wins the Mmmmmmalabrigo.

Val wins the Socktacular Stuff.

Julie Frick wins the Fantastic Fabric.

Jo Taulbee wins the Lace-a-Licious Sea Silk in Ivory package.

Ingrid Deon wins the Amazon gift certificate.

Elizabeth wins the Lyric Tree package.

Nicola Gaffney wins the Sea Silk in Glacier.

Jean Maples wins the Lorna’s Laces Helen’s Lace.

And we were close, SO close to $2500. Like, $80 from it. Some of you pitched in extra cash at the end to try to get us there. As far as I’m concerned, we’re there. I’m throwing in the extra prize. A $50 gift certificate to Pancake and Lulu’s Etsy shop. I LOVE her stuff. So will Jason, who wins this prize.

Y’all, I’ve said it a lot already but it still doesn’t feel like enough. Thank you. THANK YOU. You have been so kind, so generous, and so compassionate in your donations and your words. I appreciate it so much. It’s a bit sad to me that this raffle is coming to an end, because it has been such fun and so exciting. It was especially sad to me that only a few people could win, though I did try to multiply the yarny goodness so that more people could win.

Thank you, friends, for everything. I am here at the beach this week, remembering last year and celebrating my son’s rescue. I feel like you have been a big part of that celebration. Thank you.

  1. We are all so blessed with our children — I hope your holiday is a wonderful one. Reading your account last year was so very scary in its seemingly unpreventability. May this year just be filled with laughter and sun.

I am so very pregnant right now and waking up to see I have won a sweater’s worth of Mmmmmmalabrigo is one of the nicest things I can think of. Now to ponder it’s destiny.

  2. Oh, I’m so excited! This is the first time that I’ve won, and the prize is fantabulous. I loved your Gothic Leaf stole since I saw it and I’ve had it in my Ravelry que forever. I can’t wait to make my own.

Thank you so much for doing this — I hope that this joy and excitement help you mark your anniversary in a new way and I hope that you have some new memories to help soften the old ones…

  3. Congratulations to all the winners, and a big Thank You to Earthchick for running such a well organized fundraiser! I feel a winner myself, as this brought me to her blog, and added her to my ‘virtual’ life.
Have a winderful, relaxing rest of vacation!
    Marissa

  4. Congratulations to you for all of your efforts. $2,500 is a serious amount of money to raise. I also can’t believe I won a prize though. I am utterly thrilled. Thank you so much.

  5. Way to go on the raffle! I surely hope we all blew you away 🙂
And I, too, can’t believe that I won something. I never win anything, so the day that sock stuff arrives will be a GREAT mail day here in the Yukon Delta! I’m sure a Happy Dance will be necessary.

  6. i’m not a winnah this time, but that’s even okay, I’m so happy to be supporting this cause and to see all the beeyootiful stuff. I love seeing what you do, EC, and what you picked out for this.

    thanks for this opportunity.
