I am away, writing, at an actual writer’s workshop, which is incredibly exciting to me. I am sorry I have been out of touch. I am sorry for the unanswered emails (I have limited time and limited access right now). And I am especially sorry to have left a post entitled “me, me, me!” up for a week-and-a-half!
But I can’t be tooooo sorry, because I am having so much fun. Minnesota in June? Kind of perfect. Though I nearly wrecked myself trying to do some last-minute spring-ish sewing before getting here.
But the outcome was pretty nice.
There is more to show. But for now, I am going back outside, to listen to the bullfrogs and the loons, to watch for dragonflies and hummingbirds, and to write. I hope you are enjoying these last few days of spring wherever you are!
sometimes you get into a crafty place and there’s just. no time. to. blog.
Boy, did you hit Minnesota at the perfect time. The weather is perfect this week, and the mosquitos haven’t woken up yet!!! Enjoy!
Is your title in reference to a poem of the same title? If so, did you listen to the “This American Life” episode where the regulars write their own version of the poem? It’s brilliant. If you haven’t heard it, check it out!
Those sewing finishes are worth all the time we had to be without you 🙂
I hope the workshop is fulfilling, enlightening, and encouraging!
Minnesota in June sounds lovely, just like your sewing projects 🙂
Wait…you’re at a writing workshop in MN? Is a certain E. Peterson there too, by any chance?
The sewing looks great. Hope you’re enjoying the perfect Minnesotan weather.
Thx for your sympathy comment. Billy’s mom.
Love your dress and shrug. Want to start sewing myself. Gus says ‘hi’. Gonna try emailing you.

Glad you’ve had a good experience! And I’m quite impressed with all your sewing…I’m going to try to actually finish something I’ve been working on today!
