This is just to say

me, writing, outside in Minnesota, on a perfect day, in my brand-new blouse

I am away, writing, at an actual writer’s workshop, which is incredibly exciting to me. I am sorry I have been out of touch. I am sorry for the unanswered emails (I have limited time and limited access right now). And I am especially sorry to have left a post entitled “me, me, me!” up for a week-and-a-half!

But I can’t be tooooo sorry, because I am having so much fun. Minnesota in June? Kind of perfect. Though I nearly wrecked myself trying to do some last-minute spring-ish sewing before getting here.

365.16 - he may be right

But the outcome was pretty nice.

There is more to show. But for now, I am going back outside, to listen to the bullfrogs and the loons, to watch for dragonflies and hummingbirds, and to write. I hope you are enjoying these last few days of spring wherever you are!

  1. Is your title in reference to a poem of the same title? If so, did you listen to the “This American Life” episode where the regulars write their own version of the poem? It’s brilliant. If you haven’t heard it, check it out!

  2. Minnesota in June sounds lovely, just like your sewing projects 🙂
Wait…you’re at a writing workshop in MN? Is a certain E. Peterson there too, by any chance?

  3. Thx for your sympathy comment. Billy’s mom.
Love your dress and shrug. Want to start sewing myself. Gus says ‘hi’. Gonna try emailing you.

  4. Glad you’ve had a good experience! And I’m quite impressed with all your sewing…I’m going to try to actually finish something I’ve been working on today!
